Dear Beloved Patients and Friends,
Giles Breast & Body Plastic Surgery continues to closely monitor the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis and we want everyone to know that we are here for all of our patients and friends.
We are following the guidelines put forward by the CDC, The World Health Organization, The American Board of Plastic Surgery, and The State of Florida. We have implicated several new policies and procedures to help keep our patients and our staff stay healthy.
One of the most notable changes is when a patient arrives at our office they are to call the front desk to inform us of their arrival. Patients are instructed to wait in their car, once an exam room is available they are escorted straight to the exam room bypassing the waiting room. Each of our exam rooms is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between patients. We have always practiced the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation procedures. We are also pre-screening our patients prior to their scheduled appointment.
Our office will remain open for patients that need imperative care. Dr. Giles and our clinical staff are here to manage all of our post-operative patients care. We will do so in a very safe manner by continuing with our new policies and practices.
Patients that are not in immediate need of care will be rescheduled until further notice. These are the patients that are months post-operation. Patients that are thrilled with their results and normally would come for a follow up visit to give us all a hug, and thank our team for the care and amazing results. Unfortunately, these are the types of visits we will have to miss out on for now. Emphasis on the for now! We are offering virtual follow up appointments for our established patients.
As far as scheduled and upcoming surgery patients. Sadly, we were informed by Governor DeSantis on Friday, that all elective surgeries in the state of Florida are to be postponed for now. We are all working very hard behind the scenes to move and reschedule our surgery patients. We are here, and are patiently waiting to operate again soon. All patients that are forced to postpone surgery for now will be rescheduled, and are top priority.
New patients, whom are currently on the books for consultations will be called and offered virtual consultations or given the opportunity to reschedule. A Virtual consultation is an innovative way to offer patient surgery options, review surgery details, and go over costs. Once up and operating again patients that had a virtual consultation will have the opportunity to book and will take some precedence.
During this very trying time we have witnessed our friends, family, and community pull together. We as a community will bounce back. We can and should take and make personal choices to help keep our personal risk low, and the risk of our loved ones. Please don’t come to the office if you are sick, coughing or have been exposed to another with the virus. Follow the CDCs guidelines with social distancing as much as possible, and wash your hands frequently.
We have your best interest at heart. We want you all to stay well and healthy. We very much look forward to caring for all of you as soon as it is possible.
We will continue to update our patients and friends via social media. Stay healthy, and be well.
With much love,
Dr. Giles and team
